My fiancé and I are a subletting our one bedroom, 4th floor walk up apartment in Fort Greene, starting Dec 20th, 2024. We are looking for a subletter who would like to stay for at least 6 months, though preferably longer on a month-to-month basis. The apartment will be unfurnished.
Our building is off of Fulton St facing the back gardens of the block. We’re a 5 minute walk from Atlantic Ave/Barclay’s Center where the 2,3,4,5,B,D,N,Q,R trains stop. We live near the Lafayette C stop and the G train is a couple blocks away. There are several CitiBike stations within a few blocks. We’re 2 blocks from Fort Greene park and surrounded by several grocery stores, delis, restaurants and bars.
Our apartment has a dishwasher, gas stove, full size oven and fridge, 2 closets and 2 window A/C units (one in the kitchen and one in the bedroom). Laundry and bike storage in the basement of the building. The bedroom fits a king-size bed and additional furniture.
Our building’s super is very reliable and our neighbors are very friendly and helpful. Please reach out with any questions. We're happy to set up a FaceTime or in-person tour of the apartment.
My fiancé and I have lived in Brooklyn for the past 7 years, nearly 4 of them in this apartment. We are temporarily re-locating to DC for work. We love spending time in Fort Greene park with our dog and enjoying everything the neighborhood has to offer. Our apartment is in a lovely historical walk up building and our neighbors are the best. We feel really lucky to have found it. We will be showing the space.
We hope to sublet to someone who is neat and respectful of our space and our neighbors. Most people in the building have lived here for a several years and we have good relationships with them, our super, and our landlord.

First months rent and refundable $2,000 security deposit. Rent includes utilities (Verizon FiOS wifi, gas & electric).
Our building is pet-friendly, dogs and cats allowed.
