Last Updated/Effective Date: April 23, 2026:

At Listings Project, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This privacy policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights and choices.

This privacy policy applies to our collection and use of personal information when you use our services, such as when you visit our website listingsproject.com, subscribe to our newsletter, apply for a job, or when you interact with us in other ways, such as by mail, email, social media, or any other means.

By using our services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and our Terms and Conditions, and you consent to our collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information as described here. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, your choice is not to use our services.

Definitions

The following are some useful definitions for terms you might run into in this Privacy Policy.

Our Role

Listings Project acts as a “controller” of personal information under applicable state privacy laws, except where we process personal information on behalf of another entity as a “processor” or “service provider”.

Categories of Personal Information We Collect

The following describes the categories of personal information we collect and have collected in the last 12 months:

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information as those terms are defined under applicable law. However, in connection with our employment, payroll, and benefits administration, we may collect limited categories of sensitive personal information from our employees and job applicants — such as Social Security numbers, financial account details, and benefits enrollment information. We collect and use this information only as necessary to manage our employment relationship, comply with legal obligations, and administer payroll and benefits through trusted third-party service providers.

We request that, except as is necessary in connection with your employment, you do not share sensitive personal information with us or any other party through our services.

Sources of Personal Information We Collect

The sources of personal information we collect and have collected in the last 12 months are as follows:

To the extent we combine the personal information you provide us with personal information we have obtained from other sources, we will treat the combined information in accordance with this privacy policy.

Purpose for Collecting Personal Information

We collect and use personal information about you for the business and commercial purposes described in this Privacy Policy. Our business purposes for collecting and using personal information, including in the last 12 months, include:

We may also use your personal information to send you our newsletter or to contact you about goods, services, and listings that may be of interest to you. If you do not want to receive marketing e-mails from us, you can unsubscribe from those e-mails by selecting “unsubscribe” at the bottom of one of the e-mails. You may also unsubscribe from our newsletter by clicking the unsubscribe link at the end of the newsletter. Please Note: If you unsubscribe from receiving marketing communications or from our newsletter, we may still contact you for the purpose of providing you with service-related messages.

How We Disclose the Personal Information We Collect

The types of entities or individuals to whom we disclose and have disclosed personal information within the last 12 months include the following:

Please Note: We disclose employee/applicant information only to HR service providers, payroll processors, benefits administrators, legal advisors, and government authorities as required by law. We do not sell or share employee information for advertising.

Deidentified Personal Information

We may use or permit our Service Providers to use aggregated information and information that has been de-identified or anonymized without obligation to you except as prohibited by applicable law. We may also, if permitted by applicable law, combine personal information with information which has been de-identified or anonymized. Should this occur, we will treat such combined information as personal information and will not attempt to reidentify it.

Our services may contain links to third-party websites and social platforms. These third party sites may use their own cookies, web beacons and other technology to independently collect personal information about you. We are not responsible for information on these sites, or for services or products offered by them. By providing these links we do not imply that we endorse or have reviewed these sites. Use of these sites, including transmitting your personal information to them, is at your own risk. The information that you share with these sites will be governed by the specific privacy policies and terms of service of these third party sites and not by this Privacy Policy. Please consult the privacy policies of those third party sites to determine how they collect and use the personal information they collect.

Listings Project uses cookies or other tracking technologies for various business and commercial purposes. A cookie is a small file placed on the hard drive of your computer. The following cookies are used in connection with our services:

Some of the tracking technologies used in connection with our services are owned and operated by either our service providers or other third parties. For example, we use Google Analytics to help us analyze your use of the services, compile statistic reports on the service’s activity, and provide us with other information relating to your activity and internet usage. These other parties may use tracking technologies on our services (including in e-mails and advertisements) and on other sites and services to track your activities across time and services for purposes of associating the different devices you use, and delivering relevant ads and/or other content to you on our services and other parties’ services or devices after you have left the services.

We may serve ads on other websites and services, which are targeted to reach people who have visited our services or that are also identified in one of more of our databases. This is done by us uploading a customer list to another party or incorporating a pixel from another party into our own services, and the other party matching common factors between our data and their data.

We recognize browser-based opt-out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control (GPC), where legally required. These signals will be treated as a valid request to opt-out of sale/sharing/targeted advertising for that browser or device.
