2 (or 3) private bedrooms available in an old Victorian House in a self-contained upstairs apartment with it's own bathroom and kitchen.

The upstairs apartment is available for $2500 and currently set up with 2 bedrooms and a living room. However the living room could be converted to another bedroom if you were a group of 3 who wanted to split the rent further. Internet and water are included in rent. The apartment does have it's own heating and electrical bill that tenants will be responsible for.

Myself, I'm a full time teacher at a nature based pre-school nearby, and a working musician (drummer). I'll be living in the downstairs apartment.

The house has a basic music room in the basement where I'll be practicing drums or having band rehearsals. These sessions will generally be no earlier than 11am and no later than 9pm. The rehearsal space will also be available to the tenants and we can figure out a schedule that works for everyone.

I also live with two dogs who will usually be at the house, but will also be splitting some of their time with my ex. While it can take the smaller dog a few minutes of pets and attention before she stops barking at new people, they really are very friendly, love all humans, and would be so excited about making new human friends! I come home on my lunch breaks to walk the dogs.

Downstairs has a large shared open foyer and living/dining room space. The way these shared spaces are set up are very much a work in progress and could be something we decide together! There is also a kitchen and bathroom downstairs that I will be using myself. However the bathroom could be free to be shared with tenants when needed.

The backyard is pretty large and has a lovely shaded forested-junk-yard kind of vibe. There's a deck out there that's great for fire pit hangs and acoustic sessions. Tenants will have mostly free reign to grow or build anything they'd like out there. The attic has a bit of storage available but is mostly set up as another chill place to hang out.

With all the room available downstairs, and the 'stages' out the back and in the basement, I'm hoping to fulfill a project we've been working on to make the house available as a kind of 'third space' for the neighborhood. Things like classes, shows, dinners, gigs, parties, meetings, etc. All donations based stuff with the main aim to be building community, having fun, and bringing interesting people to our home!

While I'll be mostly occupying a downstairs area myself, and you will have your own apartment upstairs, ideally I'm looking for tenants who would be interested in sharing the entire property with me. I'm also hoping to find dog friendly people that would be happy to hang with my dogs, who are musicians themselves or at least cool with the sound of drum/band practice happening in the basement on a semi-regular basis (for a few hours about 3-5 times a week), and creatives/community builders that might be interested in participating in the 3rd space project. I'd really love to make a friendly, fun, creative and supportive home where we don't just share the space but also some of our lives.
