Hello! I'm looking for someone to join my Clinton Hill/BedStuy duplex, 3-bed, 1.5-bath (3rd BR is used as an office) penthouse with a *giant private rooftop terrace* and an additional large balcony. Brand new building at Lexington & Bedford Aves, super close to the G and A/C/S! Our bedrooms are on different floors and we each have our own bathroom with plenty of storage. My roommate is moving in with his girlfriend roughly mid-January so looking for someone to join around then (flexible).

--At a glance--
1,100 interior sqft + 610 sqft of private outdoor spaces. Only one other apartment in the building on lower floors (neighbors are AMAZING), massage studio on ground level. Dishwasher & in-unit full-size washer & dryer!

The apartment--save for your bedroom--is mostly furnished with my belongings, but I would love to incorporate yours, too, and am open to swapping things out. There's lots of room for art! Note: most of the interior pics I uploaded are from when I first moved in to give you a better idea of what the space looks like with just my belongings & not my current roommate's.

---First Floor---
• Your bedroom: largest, fits K/Q bed + dresser, south-facing, big windows with tons of light, motorized blackout shades, separate HVAC thermostat, built-in wardrobe and drawers; 8’-2” x 13’.
• Kitchen: *dishwasher*, full-size oven & induction cooktop, big island, big pantry & plenty of storage. I also have an extendable table with six chairs, a microwave, toaster oven, blender, food processor. I love to cook and hope you do, too!
• Balcony: overlooks tree-filled courtyard with room for plants, a grill, café table & chairs; 6’ x 9’.
• Living room: I have a couch + ottoman + big blue chair, 65" TV, speakers, built-in shelving and room for more art on walls!
• Your bathroom: window, soaking tub, rain shower (shared w/ me).
• Office: bright and sunny, with space for your desk too; 8’2” x 11’.
• Full-size washer & dryer.

---Second Floor---
• My bedroom & 1/2 bath
• Private terrace: only accessible to our unit via a dedicated door at top of the stairs. Has a projector screen, large dining table, bench, chairs, umbrella, huge sectional couch, tons of native plants (gardeners welcome!), awesome outdoor speakers, string lights; 18’-6” x 30’. I also have a full set of weights & yoga mats, love to work out on the roof. Incredible for lounging & entertaining!

• Utilities: Fios 1gig internet is $35/mo/pp, electric is $130/mo/pp (on budget plan)
• The landlord is fantastic! He's responsive, takes great care of the building and has been willing to improve it at his own expense, like building a huge pergola with retractable shades on the terrace. Could not ask for a better landlord, especially in NYC.

---About the neighborhood---
I've been here three years, it's an amazing location on the border of BedStuy & Clinton Hill; tons of great restaurants & bars, walking/biking distance to Fort Greene, Herbert Von King, & Prospect Parks. Our neighbors in the building are wonderful people & have become close friends! Transit is easy: one block to CitiBike station, 4 min walk to the Bedford-Nostrand G, 9 min walk to the Franklin Ave A/C/S. Close to several good grocery stores, bodegas, wine shops, cute coffee shops, BedStuy YMCA. Lots of good restaurants and bars along Bedford, Franklin, Vanderbilt, Dekalb. Plenty of protected bike lanes and people running, getting coffee, or going out. Super walkable! Feels lively but also residential and community-oriented.

About This Lister

I'm a 31-year-old gay man, a sweetie at heart, active, social, and outgoing. I'm a master's student studying climate change at Columbia and I also work full-time in green energy tech (wfh but also have a WeWork). I've been friends with all my roommates and would love to build a good relationship with my next one!

I'm into a lot: running, climbing, cooking, yoga, dance classes, travel, ~the arts~, gardening (I did all the plants on the terrace), bopping around the city, hosting parties, meeting each other's friends. Equally comfortable with a picnic in the park or a late night dancing at Nowadays or Basement.

As a roommate, I'm clean & tidy but not a psycho about it, decent design sensibility, respectful and easygoing. I value open, clear communication and taking equal care of our shared space. A chore chart is not my vibe; if it's dirty, clean it, put stuff away, etc. Open to hiring a cleaning service to help out too.
