We have a 4 acre camp just outside Ellenville, NY that we will be renting starting June 1 2026. It's right next to Rondout Reservoir. It's 2.5 hrs from NYC and 45 minutes from Kingston. We bought a house in the area and want to find someone who will enjoy this place as much as we have. It's a great spot!

The property is 4 mostly wooded acres, with a big backyard and rock gardens. There is a 575 sq ft garage that has been converted into a studio apartment. 1 bay of the garage is a utility room with a washer, dryer, refrigerator, and composting toilet. The other bay of the garage is a bedroom and small kitchen that has a large farmhouse sink, a wood stove, and a clawfoot tub. Outside there is a cedar shower, an outhouse, a propane grill, and an 80 sq ft shed. The shower is a highlight.

There is high speed WiFi and we can leave some furniture for you.

It is rustic but comfortable and there's lots of outdoor space. Nearby are a couple of great swimming holes and hiking trails that we can show you.

We are ideally looking for someone who will rent this year round and contribute to the upkeep of the property. The rent is set at an affordable rate, because we are looking for the best fit rather than the most money. You can live here full time, or use it as a weekend getaway. You can garden or raise chickens. It's a lovely place with a lot of charm.

We are currently making some improvements to the property, so it won't be ready immediately, but we are starting our search early. We would love to show you the camp, and hear your ideas for how you'd make it your own. Thanks for reading and let us know if you have any questions!
