Hi! My flatmate and I are subletting one room in our spacious 5-room apartment (3 bedrooms + studio + living room), on the second floor of a beautiful American Foursquare house near Ditmas Ave (F) and Church Ave (F/G).

We’re lucky to have a huge balcony, a large living room, and an extra room that we use as a music space (we’re both jazz musicians).

The available room can be rented empty or partially furnished (bed, desk, chair). There’s a spacious closet just outside the room.
We share one bathroom and one kitchen.

The room is offered unfurnished; however, we can arrange partial furnishing if needed.

We’re looking for someone reliable and clean who’s happy to participate in a shared cleaning routine for the common spaces. The vibe at home is easygoing, respectful, and communicative.

Rent includes utilities and internet.

Ideally, move-in would be April 16; a later move-in date is also possible upon agreement.

About This Lister

You’d be living with two jazz musicians in our early 30s. My roommate (33) is originally from Sweden and moved to NYC last year to pursue a master’s in jazz piano. We actually met years ago while living in Berlin, and reconnected here.

I’m 31 and have been in NYC for about two years, working as a freelance jazz musician. My schedule is a mix of teaching during the day and occasional evening performances.

At home, we keep things calm, tidy, and friendly. We both value having a peaceful space to recharge, and are looking for someone who shares that mindset—someone considerate, communicative, and comfortable maintaining a clean, respectful home.
