We’re renting our much-loved 4 bedroom / 3 bathroom craftsman home in Southeast Portland as we move out of state for work. The house sits on a quiet, tree-lined street just off Division and ~1/4 mile from the base of Mt. Tabor Park. It’s one of our favorite things about living here: incredibly walkable to restaurants, coffee shops, bars, playgrounds, and transit, yet it’s calm, residential, and neighborly.

The house has a bright, open-concept layout with a remodeled kitchen (2021) that flows into a dining and living area we use daily for both work and gathering. There’s a sunny front porch we love for morning coffee, a backyard for relaxing or entertaining, and a sunroom that’s been an ideal home office. The house gets wonderful natural light year-round and feels both classic and modern with original charm and thoughtful updates throughout. Our house is equipped with central A/C and a Nest thermostat.

The bedroom layout includes 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom upstairs, 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom on the main floor, and a laundry room and storage space in the basement. The home includes an additional fully renovated 1 bedroom, 1bathroom basement apartment (completed in 2022) with its own private entrance, kitchen, living area, and washer/dryer. We’re renting the full house, and the ADU is ideal for in-laws, visiting family, friends who want privacy, or a dedicated guest or work space.
There’s also a detached garage, a large storage area, a driveway, and ample street parking (we’ve never had trouble finding a spot).

Neighborhood
We’re in the Mt. Tabor neighborhood, just off Division and close to Hawthorne, one of the most walkable pockets of SE Portland. Mt. Tabor Park is steps away, and the area feels very community-oriented. Neighbors are friendly, look out for one another, and genuinely enjoy living here. The house is also a few blocks from Atkinson Elementary and Franklin High School.
