Peaceful, modern 1-bedroom adobe casita with patio and nice amenities, including cozy radiant floor heating, kitchen, washer, and coffee + teas. 1.5 miles west of the plaza/downtown, on a quiet cul-de-sac that backs onto miles of piñon & juniper trails, arroyo-wandering, and 360 degree mountain views. It’s a 10-minute walk to the food co-op, cafe, and restaurants. Comfortable and centrally-located, it’s the perfect place to come home to during a shorter visit or a multi-week stay or residency.

The casita is a separate adobe building next door to our house, with a courtyard of fruit trees between the two. It is built into the hillside and stays cool in summer and cozy in winter! It is attached to our studio that we use during the day. The neighborhood is quiet and residential.

Directly across the street, you can access miles of trails through piñon and juniper, with incredible views over town and of all the surrounding mountain ranges. Stroll 3 blocks to the River Trail, a multi-use path that follows the riparian environment and will take you to downtown, Canyon Road, the Railyard, midtown and many parks.

We are in Casa Solana, a central and beloved Santa Fe neighborhood that is very accessible to all of Santa Fe by car, bicycle and even on foot. It’s the perfect location: a 5-minute drive or walkable to downtown, and immediate access to miles of trails and views. Since we are on the north side of town, it is an easy escape to the Santa Fe National Forest (hiking and snow sports), Ski Santa Fe, Ten Thousand Waves, Bandelier National Monument & Valles Caldera, St. John’s College, the Santa Fe Opera, and Los Alamos National Lab.

For however long you are here, we want you to be comfortable. There is a Moccamaster drip coffee maker, French press, and electric kettle. The kitchenette is equipped with an induction burner and Breville toaster oven. Bed linens and towels are 100% cotton and the mattress is a comfy, organic Avocado-brand mattress with mattress topper. Summer bedding is a lightweight, breathable wool duvet and winter is a thick and fluffy wool duvet (both hypoallergenic), with a soft, high-quality cotton duvet cover. Extra pillows and blankets are always ready in the closet. The closet has hangers, shelves, and a hanging organizer. There is cozy radiant floor heating, a HEPA air purifier, a multi speed fan, and dehumidifier. All windows and doors have full privacy shades. There is a desk and strong WIFI. There is also a washing machine, drying rack, and iron. We use non-toxic, sanitizing cleaning products and thoroughly clean the entire space between every guest. If you are missing anything, just ask us!

Please enjoy the casita and patio with table and chairs. You can park in the driveway, and there is also ample street parking. Absolutely no smoking anywhere indoors. Sorry, we can’t allow any pets. This is our home, so please treat it with care and respect.

Kara and Adam are your hosts (we live in the house next door to the casita). We love living in Northern New Mexico and look forward to welcoming you here. We love hiking, foraging, cooking, music, movies, and field recording. We can give you recs for local experimental/DIY music, art, and sound events too.

We also co-run Palmerie, a project which builds community and advances local artistic practice through explorations in sound, music, and attentive listening. As Palmerie, we have been facilitating collaborative practice, workshops, and public performances since 2023.

Our 500 sq ft professional sound studio is also available for rent as a rehearsal, recording, workshop, and self-guided residency space for musicians and sound artists visiting Santa Fe.
