Are you needing a cleaner in NYC but don’t want the massive overhead costs of hiring a cleaning company? I might be able to help!
As a freelance cleaner I have availability both weekends and weekdays, and I have a quite flexible schedule; I’m able to travel to locations in Manhattan, Queens, and north Brooklyn. I can bring most of my own supplies, but I’m also super happy to use any preferred products you may have on site, such as favorite cleaning sprays, clients’ own vacuums or steam mops, etc. Folks can get super busy, especially in the current economic climate, and that's where I come in handy to take the edge off the inevitable peskiness of domestic upkeep.

I can also assist in home organization projects; it’s a common occurrence for folks to become inspired to organize the inside of their homes in the process of cleaning, and I’m always ready to help make that journey a lot easier and less daunting!

In addition, I often look after friends’ pets- either walking dogs in the owner’s absence (I’ve previously worked as a walker in NYC) or dropping in to feed and provide company to cats; I would be happy to include those things as well during visits if needed.

I’ve worked as a freelance/part-time domestic and commercial cleaner for 15 years, first in the UK and now for a while in NYC. I also work as a sound engineer in a recording studio in LIC, Queens, and, believe it or not, there are a lot of parallels between tracking music and cleaning a space from start to finish! I enjoy cleaning because it’s quite active work while having the pleasure of seeing some great results when the job is done.

Background and Expertise

Through the last 15 years I’ve cleaned all kinds of businesses and homes, and no job is ever too small, too big, or too complex! I began working for a cleaning franchise in 2011 and moved on to independent gigs shortly thereafter, repeatedly working for the same clients, restaurants, venues, etc. Every place needs its own approach, and the end goal is to leave the client feeling happy with their surroundings. I’ve managed to blend working in a timely manner with getting the utmost result.
