A peaceful creative oasis tucked away in the best part of East Hampton Springs. Surrounded by towering oak trees and birdsong, this three-bedroom, two-bathroom home offers the ideal setting for artists, writers, and thinkers seeking focus, inspiration, and quiet. Just under a mile from the bay and ten minutes from the ocean, it’s close to everything—and far from distraction.
Inside, the cathedral ceilings and skylight fill the great room with luminous natural light, making it a perfect place to write, paint, or simply think. The dining room table is now a very large glass table that is wonderful for work. Contemporary art lines the walls, a vintage record collection sets the mood, and the fully stocked cook’s kitchen invites slow, meditative meals. There’s a fireplace for cozy evenings, and outside—a front deck for shared dinners, a back deck for solitude and reading, and an outdoor fire pit for late-night conversation and s’mores.
Each bedroom (two queens, one king) offers plush comfort and privacy. One bathroom features a shower, the other a soaking tub for unwinding after long creative days. Guests can borrow the house bikes for rides to the bay or a coffee run to S&S Corner Shop, the beloved neighborhood spot for pastries, gifts, and perfect espresso.
Whether you’re finishing a manuscript, developing a new body of work, or simply restoring your creative spirit, this house offers the stillness and space to do it.
I’m a filmmaker often on the road, and this home is my creative sanctuary. While I’m away, I’m opening it up as an artist and writing retreat for short stays. I’m looking for thoughtful guests to enjoy its calm, take inspiration from the East End, and care for it with the same love I do.
