This two/three-bedroom, two-bathroom townhouse apartment is on the first floor of a three-apartment set up (one apt above, one below).
We use it as a 2BR/2BA with an office space, but the office can be turned into a small bedroom. The office leads to the backyard, so if it is converted into a bedroom, just keep that in mind.
Price includes utilities and cleaning fee! And there is *some* flexibility for the right people.
Space is furnished and as this is a sublet, we'd prefer the furniture not be altered. But one of our couches turns into a pull out, and we are happy to put that in the office room if you do want to convert it to a bedroom.
We have a washer/dryer, dishwasher, and backyard access. We have a television in the living room. We are 15 minutes away from Prospect Park and across the street from the Maple Street Community Garden, which is super active and wonderful, and you should definitely join while you're here.
We are an 8 min walk to the 2/5 and a 15 min walk to B/Q/S. The neighborhood is gorgeous with lots of grocery stores and restaurants/bars within walking distance. Takes about 45 minutes to get into the city on average.
It's honestly everything you can want in a NYC apartment. Quiet street, but near everything you could desire.
We will be your main point of contact, but our landlord doesn't live far, and our upstairs neighbors are super friendly if you need help with anything.
The apartment is on the first floor, but it is up a flight of stairs.
This is not a party apartment (though again, lots of great bars if you wanna take the party there!). We are looking for responsible, laid-back subletters who need a beautiful space for the summer.
No smoking in the apartment, neither tobacco nor weed, per our lease.
Space will be cleaned before occupation. (Cleaning fee included in rent).
We are the current tenants, headed out of the country for our jobs. AriDy (they/them) is a writer and non-profit professional, and Aman (they/them) is a PHD candidate. We are both black intellectuals with a bookshelf full of books and an addiction to tea.
First month rent to reserve the space, and then the second month by June 15th.
