Hello! I’m looking for someone to take over my lease in our beautiful, updated apartment on 3rd Street in Park Slope, starting December and running through August next year, with the option to extend or sign a full lease after that. You’ll be joining two wonderful roommates who already live in the apartment.
Some other details about the apartment and location:
* sun-drenched and entirely south facing in the heart of Park Slope
* two full bathrooms (not half bath)
* washer/dryer in-unit!
* second floor (barely a walk-up)
* heat and hot water included
* pet friendly! but space would be better suited to a small dog/cat
* 1 block away from Whole Foods
* 5 blocks from F/G/R trains
* Faces a beautiful park
* Historic and picturesque 3rd street is a gorgeous, clean and well-maintained street
* 1 block from tons of restaurants, bars, coffee shops and markets on 5th Ave. Everything you could possibly need is a short walking distance in every direction. And then two blocks for the markets, restaurants and banks on 7th Ave.
* 1 block from the famous Park Slope 5th Ave Farmer's market every weekend
* 1 stop away from Atlantic Station which has the B/D/Q/R/2/3/4/5 and LIRR
* 3 blocks from Prospect Park
The available room (pics shown) can fit a full bed (possibly queen depending on your other furniture), a desk, and a bookcase or small dresser. It also has a good-sized closet. Best part is the room will come with its own bathroom! Not inside the room, but you'll have exclusive use of it (pics shown). The bathroom includes a tub shower, and medicine cabinet/under sink storage.
The apartment is fully furnished; kitchen supplies are also pretty well-stocked, so we have most things already available.
*Roommate Preferences:*
They’re both very clean, respectful, and considerate; keeping a tidy home is important to them. They really value clear and open communication and appreciate someone approachable when it comes to sorting out any house matters. Overall, they’re friendly and easy to get along with, and they hope to find someone who shares those values to keep the apartment comfortable and pleasant for everyone BLM and LGBTQIA+ friendly.
Work from home ok, but as both other roommates are also remote, preference would be for someone who commutes at least part-time or works from another location.
No preferences to age or gender! Just be cool, tidy, respectful and open to communication. One of your future roomies will likely get a cat, as it is her destiny, so cat-friendly persons preferred! Please let us know of any allergies or aversions.
If you're interested and feel that you'd be a good fit, PLEASE REACH OUT ASAP! We can provide additional info, videos, photos and would be happy to schedule virtual or in-person visits. Thanks!
*A bit about one roomie:*
She’s a born and bred New Yorker (though of the Long Island variety), WFH for a small tech consulting company. She’s a big pop culture nerd and very passionate about all manner of book, film, TV, music, fashion press release, graphic novel, culture blog - you name it, she can voraciously devour it! She also enjoys travelling and loves sharing stories from her misadventures abroad if you care to hear them. She also loves a good Netflix binge with wine and takeout any day of the week. She does enjoy a cozy, convivial home environment and would like to be friends with the roommates, occasionally sharing meals, baked goods or movie nights. She also likes to keep to herself and respects boundaries. She’s super friendly and would love a roommate who’s also open to hanging out and enjoying the city together. She's at home during the day, but sometimes leaves to spend the day with her bestie (also in Park Slope), or she’s frequently back home to LI or travelling when possible.
*Other roomie:*
From the DC region and adores everything New York offers! Is fun, grateful and believes in community, support and positivity. Her work is in consulting, and she also works from home with occasional days at the office. Health and fitness are her passion! She’s also happy to be friends with roommates and respect each other to have a supportive environment at home. Has a healthy social life with a balance of an introverted side. Is also a foodie, loves music and would be happy to share music/movies/love of the arts.
