My 807ft2, 2 room apartment in Kreuzberg is right by the canal off of Paul-Linke-Ufer. The street is quiet, cobble stoned and tree lined, however the neighborhood is lively, with bars, restaurants and shops in walking distance. The apartment is an old build, with high ceilings and hardwood floors, and it’s been recently renovated, so it’s well insulated. The bedroom and kitchen are both sizeable, while the living room is massive, so the whole apartment feels very spacious.
This is my apartment in Berlin and I've put a lot of TLC into furnishing it well and making it into a home. More details:
- U8 Kottbusser Tor and U1/U3 Görlitzer Bahnhof are both less than a 10 minute walk.
- Bathtub
- Washing machine
- New well equipped kitchen (I like to cook!)
- 1 bedroom with double bed, 1 massive living room, 1 large separate kitchen, spacious hallway with built in closets
- Well maintained building with nice neighbors and courtyard for bikes
- Mid century/space age furniture + I’m an artist, so includes furniture and pieces I’ve made myself
- French balcony in the living room
- Organic supermarket on the corner and larger ones 5-8 minutes walk away
I'm engineer for work but outside of my job, I paint, woodwork and generally like to make things across mediums, so my house is filled with a few unique pieces.
I'm originally from New York City, but I was living in Berlin for the last 5 years. I'm back in NYC now for a job, but intend to return to this apartment in a year, so I'm looking for someone who is coming to Berlin and needs an apartment for that period. Because this would be a temporary 1 year contract, I'm looking for someone who has a legitimate reason to need the apartment for the set duration of the contract, i.e. a business project that requires them to be in Berlin. I'm flexible with the move in/move out dates and the duration of the stay, a little longer or short than 1 year also works.
