We are subletting our home in Rhinebeck and are flexible with timing, preferably for either three or six months. It is a beautiful, fully-updated and modernized 19th century farmhouse centrally located to Rhinebeck village (about eight minutes away) and the Rhinecliff Amtrak (about ten minutes away). There are three bedrooms -- two with king size beds, and one with two single beds that is set up a child's bedroom. There is a bathroom with a clawfoot tub and shower upstairs, and another with a shower downstairs. The kitchen is ideal for cooking and hosting friends and family, with a large island and stools, a double-oven, and built-in beverage fridge, as well as a breakfast table and built-in banquettes. There is also an office with a desk and a couch, a living room on the first floor, a dining room with a large dining table, and a TV room on the second floor with a large couch and wide-screen TV.

In addition to the house, we have five acres of land, including a large pond and walking trails that are shared with a couple neighbors. For the warmer months, if you have children, there is a playground and trampoline. There is also a screened-in area with a dining table and large sitting area on the back deck that looks out to the pond and backyard and is a wonderful place to dine and have a morning coffee during the warmer months.

The house has a new roof, a new Nest central heating system and new central AC, a generator that will supply energy for three to four days should there be a black-out, a full water-system so that the tap water is fresh and drinkable, and has ongoing maintenance to ensure that it is fully sealed so as to prevent any issues with rodents or insects.

It is truly a wonderful home and has all the beauty and charm of an authentic 19th century home without any of the annoyances. Beautiful the entire year, from the snowier winter months to when the forsythia begins to bloom and the flowers in the garden to when the pond comes alive with the sound of frogs and the baby bunnies start to emerge.

The house will come furnished though most of our personal things are stored away.

We are an artist/writer couple with two elementary-school aged children. We used to live in NYC and LA but ended up in the Hudson Valley during COVID. We fell in love with the beauty of the area, as well as the wonderful community of artists, farmers, teachers, and writers. We ended up in Madrid, Spain because we have family here and have decided to stay for some time for various reasons. We put a lot of love and care into our home in Rhinebeck and it has been a very important part of our family the last four years. The house has been listed for sale as we find ourselves settling into Madrid for a longer period of time than we had initially expected but we are taking it off the market until early summer.
