We are looking for someone to join our massive, sunny, 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment in Park Slope. Our lovely roommate is moving out after 10 years (she won the housing lottery!). The apartment is a third floor walk up with a large eat in kitchen and separate spacious living room that gets great light. There are only two other units in the building and our neighbors are friendly and quiet.

The available room can fit a double bed, desk, and dresser (will come empty for you), has built-in storage space, and shares a Jack-and-Jill bathroom with another roommate, a woman. The room has beautiful hardwood floors which are original to the building. There is one window in the room which looks into the air shaft, but since we are on the top floor it lets in a good amount of light and lots of fresh air.

This is a long term sublet (ideally looking for someone who would stay at least 1 year), and you would sign a sublet agreement with the leaseholder. Rent is $1,100 per month and move in costs would be the first month rent and a $1,100 security deposit. Electricity, gas, and internet are split between roommates and on average come to about $80 a month, less in the winter and more in the summer.

There is no laundry in the building but a great laundromat is two blocks away and offers self service and wash & fold.

The apartment, which is on a quiet block, is located one block away from the Union Street R stop and is approximately 40 minutes into midtown Manhattan. The apartment is a 0.5 mile walk from Atlantic Terminal (2, 3, 4, 5, B, D, N, Q, R), and is 4 blocks to Prospect Park.

One of the roommates (F - 30 y/o) works in non-profit fundraising, another (M - 30 y/o) is in a grad program for film score composition, and the third (F- 29 y/o) is a copywriter. We are looking for a roommate in their late 20s-early 30s who is friendly, laid back, clean (we don’t leave dishes in the sink overnight and split up common space chores/taking out the trash), and who enjoys a calm space. No smoking of any kind, no pets, and no live-in significant others.

If this sounds like a good fit, please reach out and tell us about yourself.
