***Photos show furnished bedroom for reference, but the bedroom comes unfurnished/bare. Living room will come as pictured***
Room available in Two Bridges, Manhattan
This is a 3-bedroom, 2 full bathroom condo with a shared outdoor courtyard and shared laundry. Ground level, so no walk-up! Largest kitchen I've seen in a Manhattan apartment, with tons of cabinets and counter space- modern, renovated, amazing for someone who likes to cook. Oven, microwave, dishwasher. The living room similarly extremely spacious: well decorated, pre-furnished with tasteful furniture, lots of light from 3 huge windows, large TV, large dining room table, and large emerald green couch, among other furnishings.
The Room:
Large window facing the leafy courtyard; gets pleasant light in the summer
Has medium-size closet with shelf space and space for hanging items
Enough space to comfortably fit a queen bed, desk, and wardrobe/bureau/dresser. I currently have two dressers, and it works.
The Neighborhood
Grocery store and F train (East Broadway stop) just 3 blocks away. 10 minute walk from Kiki's Greek Restaurant, Cervo's, Bar Belly, Scar's Pizza, Orchard Street vintage stores... 10 minute walk from charming and leafy Seward Park, Seward Park library, Essex market with 30+ specialty food vendors. Access to the East River waterfront area, parks, and the Piers.
Amenities & Details:
Laundry is on the same floor, steps outside the unit, shared by the building occupants. It's never busy, and always clean, with functioning machines. Super convenient.
Wifi and electric bill (not included in rent) are usually less than $50 total per month
The bedroom has an air conditioning unit already (as does living room)
Lease Details:
You'd be subletting from me through the end of the lease term in February. You'll Zelle the landlady monthly- couldn't be easier. Lease renews March 1, at which point you'd have the opportunity for a lease takeover.
Roommates:
You'd be sharing the space with 2 women in their mid twenties.
You'd share a pleasant, recently renovated bathroom with Emily, who is bubbly, welcoming, neat-- 26 years old, works in fintech.
Our third roommate has her own adjoining bathroom.
Please reach out if you'd like to see videos of the place. I can't attach them here, but they better display the "feel".
I'm a 26 year old woman working as a manager at a solar development company. My two roommates and I are great friends who lived together for 2.5 years. I'm moving out just for a change of pace, a new neighborhood, and to be closer to my boyfriend.
I've loved this place, and it's truly one of the best deals you're going to find in Manhattan. It's perfect for someone in their twenties who wants to be near the best of the East Village/LES without living smack in the middle of it.
I've already cleared you with my landlady, who is wonderful, responsive and lives in Southhampton (no faceless corporation to deal with!)
"Background Check" can be informal: Just need to see that you have a job/income, and get to know you and make sure it's a fit with my roommates. If you do the lease takeover in February 2027, there will be more paperwork.
No security deposit. Just the rent payment for July.
