About this Lister

Selfish Design Co. was founded on the desire to make women entrepreneurs more successful. Period.

I started SDC because I saw the power of strong branding and strategic websites in transforming a business from floundering to flourishing.

Anyone can slap a logo on a website. SDC is about setting you up for permanent success by designing a custom digital experience for your clients that will set you apart from the crowd and help you grow your business without growing your to-do list.

This is about more than getting a great website; it's about putting your air mask on first so that you aren't pouring from an empty cup.

Background and Expertise

I’m Annika, and I was put on this earth to empower women to shamelessly go after the life they desire.

I remember being told as a child that I should be prepared to be the rule, not the exception. To accept the just fine, the ordinary, the so-so. To accept less than I desired and less than I deserved.

After trying the 9 to 5 route and being laid off (twice) from jobs where I was underpaid and far from fulfilled, I realized that I wasn't okay with the adequate anymore. As an artist and a creative, I always longed for more.

I wanted a life on my own terms. I wanted purpose, passion, and power. Power over my life, my career, my financial security.

I wanted more for myself. And I knew I wasn't alone.

After studying under some of the biggest names in the design game, including Becca Luna and Abi Connick, I decided to put my skills to good use in service of women entrepreneurs wanting to live life on their own terms.

I’m now on a mission to support as many women entrepreneurs as possible on their journey to a life of greater freedom.
