Wanna plan a trip to Brooklyn this summer? Need a free place to stay? Former Oregonian returning to Portland to visit family and hoping to arrange a thoughtful home + pet sitting exchange 7/28-8/8/2026.

I’m offering my charming 1-bedroom, 1-bath apartment in Crown Heights, Brooklyn in exchange for a comfortable space in North or Northeast Portland, ideally near the Alberta Arts District, where my sister lives. Since my BFF will be joining me for part of the stay, a 2-bedroom would be ideal.

About my Brooklyn apartment:
• Charming, clean pre-war elevator building in a Crown Heights neighborhood
• Hardwood floors, laundry in building & A/C in every room
• Eclectic, art-filled, cozy vibe with lots of personality
• Just 5 blocks from Prospect Park, Brooklyn Botanic Garden & Brooklyn Museum
• Surrounded by great bars, cafés, restaurants, & only 3 blocks to the subway
• Close to some of Brooklyn’s best summer energy — block parties, Soul Summit in the park, outdoor events, music, culture, and community vibes everywhere

You would also be caring for Bootsy-one very freindly and sweet, laid-back 15-year-old female cat. She mainly needs:
• Feeding 2x a day
• Litter box maintenance
• Some occasional belly rubs, love and attention

Looking for:
• A clean, comfortable home in N/NE Portland
• Preferably a 2 bedroom apt or home
• Someone responsible, communicative, and good with cats
• Flexible timing and a mutually respectful exchange
