Caregiver needed for 17-year-old Autistic boy

We are seeking one or more Direct Support /Community Habilitation workers to care for our charming and affectionate 17-year-old son for up to 25 hours per week in Flatbush, Brooklyn. You would be joining his team to help him develop more independence, build life skills, and actively engage with the NYC community.
Our son is minimally verbal with multiple disabilities, including developmental and physical delays, as well as an autism diagnosis. You must be comfortable assisting him through daily living skills including personal hygiene and toileting.
Responsibilities include:
* Picking up our son from school in Manhattan (Mon-Fri 3:30/4:00 PM) and commuting home or to activities typically in Brooklyn via the subway or bus.
* Accompany him to various activities, such as swimming, music lessons, and horseback riding.
* Spending time with him out and about in our neighborhood and other parts of the city doing activities such as shopping, eating, going to the park, or the beach, and hanging out at our house.
Requirements:
* Must be reliable, caring, and able to work collaboratively with our family.
* Comfortable with assisting in all areas of daily living.
* Willing to be vetted and paid through an agency as part of the Medicaid Waiver Self-Direction Program.
* No previous experience necessary, but must be confident and comfortable being out with someone with intellectual and physical disabilities and navigating public transportation with him.
Pay $32.50 an hour and includes some benefits through the agency

We are a family of three (+ a sweet beagle) based in Flatbush looking for a caregiver for our sweet son who will help him to gain independence and to be integrated into our community.
