Caregiver needed for 27-year-old woman diagnosed with ASD and Bipolar Disorder

About the client:
Client is 27 years old. She enjoys music, taking walks, cooking, watching movies, car rides, and being in nature. Client is verbal but requires support with ADLs, including needing hygiene support.
Pay: $30 per hour (commensurate with experience)
Hours:
Monday through Friday 11am - 6pm (start and end time somewhat flexible)
Option for evening hours at a higher rate (cab fare covered if later than 9pm)
Job Responsibilities:
-Healthy meal and snack preparation, including some shopping for food
-Taking client on daily walks and running errands with her such as to the grocery store to try to engage her
-Accompanying client and parents to occasional doctors visits if needed
-Supporting client in cultivating interests such as listening to music and cooking/meal planning
-Running errands around client’s needs in the neighborhood (going to the pharmacy, etc.)
-Doing laundry and changing client’s bed sheets
-Cleaning client’s room and bathroom
-Bathing and shampooing client
-Giving daily vitamin and medicine if needed provided by parents
-Providing companionship to the adult client while parents are out of the house
Requirements:
-Prior work experience with adults with disabilities and challenging behaviors
-An interest in mental health
-Strong communication skills
-Ability to walk quickly if needed with client on walks
-Ability to remain calm under pressure
