We built this stone house in 2004 using the original stone from existing buildings on the property. Planning permission was granted on the condition that the home be rebuilt in the same shape and style as the original structures—so that is exactly what we did.

The home features three spacious bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, tastefully decorated, vaulted ceilings in the main living areas, a wood-burning stove, reliable Wi-Fi, and three patios with a BBQ. It is surrounded by beautiful countryside, nature, and working farms—an ideal setting for a peaceful escape.

I co-owned a mid-century furniture gallery in New York for 25 years called reGeneration Furniture. I now run an artist-led e-commerce platform called Dropshop, a division of Phillips Auction House. I love renovation projects and have completed many over the years. This was my first ground-up building project, and I learned an enormous amount in the process.
