My wife and I are looking for a 1 bedroom (or larger) apartment, preferably in Manhattan or anywhere north of Prospect Park (Gowanus, Cobble Hill, Brooklyn Heights, Park Slope, Crown Heights etc). We're working with a budget of $2500 a month max, and looking for something with a late October/early November start date.

We're very clean, respectful tenants, with our paperwork all ready and in order. We're also happy to give references!

Furthermore, we're open to lease-takeovers too if its a good fit.
