Around 1 month period available (possibly longer) for entire classic 3 room fully furnished railroad apartment in the heart of bustling Lower East Side neighborhood chock full of restaurants, galleries, boutiques and still the occasional Buddhist temple or synagogue. Blocks from multiple subway and bus routes, it's a great location. Top floor in the back of building so relatively quiet but also a 5 floor walk up.
The space gets great light during the day and there's robust Wifi (I work remote). It's a little funky/old school with my tub in the kitchen next to an oversized farmer's sink but everything works.
There are four rooms. The main bedroom with Cal King bed, middle room that is half kitchen/half tub area (see pictures), then a smaller room I use as home office space and a water closet/bathroom which houses just the toilet.
Trader Joe's, Lidl and Target are literally around the corner along with Essex Market and myriad food/grocery options. Laundromat is half a block away. Ideally looking for a single someone (but couples are welcome) who will respect and take as good care of the place as I do, retrieve mail & not kill my plants, though they're not doing so hot tbh. ;)
I'm a he/him writer who's going to the west coast on a project. I can be a little flexible on end dates within the period but would ideally love to cover at least 4 weeks. I fly back on April 1st & go directly to my sister's to dog sit and then dog sit again later in April so dates could extend. Mysteriously over the course of the pandemic & industry strikes I became a dog sitter and this is really not what I think I'm supposed to be writing here, I'm over sharing but would love to hear from you if you got this far and feel like my humble apartment could be a good fit for your needs.
I require two non-family phone numbers who I call to for character references, a signed agreement, copy of a government photo ID, a $550 security & key deposit refundable within 10 days and the period's rent up front.
pets are allowed in the building, I foster dogs occasionally and am open to it but would need further discussion.
