House:
The 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom house was renovated and modernized in 2021, and is fully furnished - all furniture, kitchen necessities, and linens/towels are provided. Very high ceilings and large windows provide an abundance of natural light.

The primary bedroom upstairs features a king sized bed with a sauna in the attached bathroom, while the office/library is perfect for finding your work flow; it includes a desk, bookshelves, expansive views of nature, and a king sized murphy bed for hosting guests. The third bedroom can remain a child’s room with a toddler bed, or we can furnish it as either a spare room with a queen bed or as an additional office with a desk. Brand new kitchen includes all new appliances including a washer and dryer tucked behind the cabinets.

Workshop:
The former horse stables have been converted into partially enclosed workshops, w/ concrete floors that can accommodate woodworking (wood lathe, circular saw, band saw, some additional small equipment), ceramics, metalwork, textiles, painting, or other types of work. In the former horse corral, there are 4 raised garden beds and a small orchard with apple, pear, and stone fruit trees. During the winter months, this area is dormant, but in the Spring, we welcome any green thumbs who have interest in nurturing the garden as part of their creative process or hobby.

Rent:
Monthly rent of $4800 is inclusive of use of the furnished home and all utilities including power, water, high speed Starlink internet/wifi, trash, and house cleaning twice per month. The house has a Level 2 J1772 EV car charger, two Nest thermostats, and several Eero mesh boosters to ensure wifi coverage throughout the house.

Peace and Quiet:
The property is a 1.5-2 hour drive north of the city of Los Angeles, located within the Angeles National Forest on the north slope of the San Gabriel Mountains. Expansive views stretch from the Mojave Desert to Mt. Whitney, with epic sunrises and sunsets, and immediate proximity to vast expanses of nature.

Access to the house is via a private gated driveway. It has unobstructed views of the desert, all the way to Mt. Whitney nearly 200 miles away. Nearby is the beautiful Devil’s Punchbowl County Park, known for its unique sandstone rock formations and canyons with several hiking trails.

While basking in abundant sunshine, our home sits at an elevation of 4,700 feet and has a climate that's typically 10 degrees cooler than the desert floor. We experience occasional snowfall in the winter and occasionally gusty winds.

We have a zero tolerance policy for smoking and open flames. No subleases, events, or parties. Photo/video shoots may be permitted in certain circumstances, with owner approval.
