Looking for a gallerist intern to help me organize, plan, fund-raise, and exhibit my late husband’s artwork. He was a Czech surrealist who exhibited in the former Czechoslovakia until he was banned because of the surrealist content. He continued painting in the U.S. where he also worked as a theatre lighting designer. He has about 40 oil paintings and innumerable drawings. Paintings have been digitalized so if you want to see if you like them, let me know.
I would like to have a ready-to-go exhibition package that can be presented to organizations or a found space or gallery. This may include a digitalized package, some research on the art movement, a bio, and any other marketing materials necessary. It will also include assistance in reaching out to galleries, spaces, and other interested organizations.
I can pay a stipend, cover expenses, and perhaps commissions if anything is sold.

About Us
I was Artistic Director of the OBIE-winning Immigrants' Theatre, a Fulbright scholar to Romania & Czechia. I directed over 200 plays and readings and worked with theatre artists from all over the world. I was a professor of theatre & communication at CUNY and have taught Yale, Brown, and University of Chicago.
At present I am semi-retired and have been writing speculative fiction (pro and semi-pro publications) and have written extensively on immigrant and Eastern European theatre artists.
My husband was a NYC lighting designer who worked off and off-off Broadway, was a painter and worked in design with Josef Svoboda.
I live in Brooklyn and have two cats (if you have allergies).
I have over 30 oil paintings on canvas digitized as well as innumerable sketches, also digitized.
