Spend New York summer in my huge one bedroom apartment. The space has a large separate kitchen, a living/dining room with a sweet projector set up, and bedroom with a very deep closet. I've been here for two years and am only leaving it because I got a summer gig upstate. It's a warm and calming space with tons of books, plants, and a very comfy couch.
About the building:
Very friendly with lots of dogs. Super is very on it and a really nice guy.
About the neighborhood:
I've lived in this neighborhood for 7 years and it remains perfect. The apartment is two blocks from the 2/5 and another few blocks to the 3. Very close to the delicious restaurants and bars of Nostrand Ave as well as Prospect Lefferts Garden. Franklin Avenue, the Brooklyn Museum, Botanic Gardens, and Prospect Park are all within walking or biking distance. Laundromat across the street.
Utilities usually come out to $80-120 a month depending on how much you run the a/c. Working on getting a powerbank so you can run it all the time for less $$$.
Can be flexible on dates if you're looking for just part of the summer but I of course would prefer someone who can do all of the dates.
I am a writer and producer who has been in the city for over 9 years. I currently have the opportunity to write upstate for the summer so I'd love to find a responsible and friendly human to look after my peaceful place while I'm gone.
Pronouns- she/her
I'll draw up a sublet agreement and ask for a deposit.
Main requirement is just that you respect the space and be nice to my neighbors.
Dogs are allowed in my building. I definitely want to make sure there won't be accidents in my space and you'll do a sweep for dog hair before you leave but that's about it.
