This is the smaller of three rooms in a comfortable clean and modern three bedroom unit. It's available May 1 but flexible up to June 15. The location is great! The apartment is located close to the subway and several bus lines. The area features great local restaraunts and grocers, and is close to the public library, YMCA, and Prospect Park.

This space is cozy, comfortable, and light. The room can fit a full or queen-sized bed. There is a closet and plenty of additional storage space throughout the apartment. The common areas include a small kitchen with washer, dryer, and dishwasher, one full and one 1/2 bathrooms, a small dining area, and a comfortable living space.

Roommates over the years have been women in their 30s but even a young at heart 60 something will find this a comfortable fit. Most have been working full time or pursuing graduate school, so we are looking for folks in a similar stage of life who are respectful and communicative, mindful of keeping common area spaces clean and organized, and can balance conversation and alone time/space to relax. There is a cleaning routine and shared hoursehold cleaning duties.

The other two rooms are occupied by lovely tenants - introverts, foodies, and music lovers will find haven here. If you lean more towards the social side of things, there are plenty of places to meet up with friends; as roommates go, the occassional dinner, coffee, concert or shared Netflix series are things we've enjoyed together.

About This Lister

My nme is Kim and and I go by she/her pronouns. If accepted you will be replacing me in this space. I'm leaving early because I've begun a new job in Jersey, and I want to join family on the other side of the Hudson. I have loved living here in Brooklyn, especially in this area.

Your new roomates are wonderful people. They also go by she/her pronouns.

One is a native New Yorker who has lived at this apartment for 5 years now, and she loves living in Brooklyn. She currently works in philanthropy in areas including climate and the environment, human rights and civil liberties, and global empowerment. In her spare time, she loves to play the violin, practice yoga, experiment with new recipes, and travel. She is respectful and communicative, mindful of keeping common area spaces clean and organized, and someone who can balance conversation and alone time/space to relax.

Your other new roomie is currently working in human resources in the finance industry. She is new to New York, coming from Minnesota. She enjoys talking long walks to explore the city, hits the gym regularly, and likes to frequent the co-op markets at the partk. She is fun loving, and known to sing old songs out loud when she thinks no one is home. She is respectful, a good communcator, and also keeps a tidy space, and balances converational time with alone time and relaxation as well.

They are hoping a new roommate will be women-identifying. in a similar stage of life in their 20s and 30s working fulltime and/or pursuing graduate school. If you are interested in learning more about the apartment and this room, please reach out and I'd be happy to chat. I will be doing the initial interviews, and suitable candidate will be introduced to the roommates, and tour the space. Thank you!
