I am an artist who lost my long term home due to a city-issued vacate for unsafe conditions in my apartment building.
I have spent the last month bouncing between hotels, sublets, and staying with friends and I would love a long term furnished situation (4-6 months) with an easy commute my studio in Sunset Park or in downtown Manhattan.
I am open to roommates given the right circumstance and space but strongly prefer solo opportunities.
I am in my late 30s and have lived in NY for the past 15 years. I work numerous freelance jobs and like to spend my free time dancing, exercising, meditating, going to the movies, and reading when I'm not in my studio making sculpture.
I am open to living with animals, trading for pet sitting labor, and love taking care of plants. I am a non smoker and a member of the PSFC. Not sober. I used to be a good cook, would love a kitchen where I can get my winter soup vibe going again.
Budget depends on the space and place but looking for ideally under 2.5k/month opportunities for living solo and under 1.5k for shared situation.
*I have no idea when my apartment will be habitable again. The estimated time is 4 months but it's a very unknown situation. That being said, I can be fairly flexible with start and end dates.
