We are looking to sublet our furnished apartment in Northern Brooklyn for 9 months, starting November 2024 and ending in July 2025.

We’re subletting a 2-bedroom furnished “railroad” apartment. The main bedroom has a Queen-sized bed with a lovely Leesa mattress and has a separator for an office space. The second “bedroom” is used as an office: the room has a nice bay of windows with two comfy reading chairs, an electric standing desk, a printer, and an electric piano (the photo in the listing is older when there was a loft bed in the second bedroom, it is no longer there).

The apartment is on the first floor of a 3-floor building in Greenpoint, very close to McGolrick Park. Nearby is amazing food, a newly renovated public library with a roof-top garden, and a 16-min walk gets you to McCarren Park which will have their beautiful gigantic pool open during the summer. The closest train station is the G stop at Nassau or Norman, which is less than 10 min away. The L is also close at 18 min away.

My partner and I are both academics, and will be away for the year and while we do have some flexibility with the start and end dates, we will be away for the entire academic year and will be back in summer 2025, so we will need the apartment back with no possibility for extension.

Rent is $2,750/month. Rent includes access to laundry room in basement and internet. Electricity would be a separate additional bill you would be responsible for. Smoking is not permitted in the apartment. Pets are not an option sadly either as the landlord has said we are at capacity in the building overall.

We would ask for a 1-month deposit to be returned upon end of the sublet. I would also like to ask for proof of income, background check, and ask you to sign a sublet agreement. Our landlords have approved this sublet.
