Very charming neighborhood and quiet, tree-lined street.
1/2 block from 1 train at 125th St./Broadway.
1 block from Riverside Park, Sakura Park, and the Hudson River. Also nearby are restaurants, supermarkets, cafés, and bars. Claremont Avenue is a beautiful street with an interesting mix of longtime residents and students and faculty of Columbia University and Manhattan School of Music.
There is no laundry in the building at this time, but there are 2 dry cleaners around the corner on Tieman Place, and on La Salle Street. They provide affordable fold-up service by the pound.

My other roommate is a female graduate student (Biology) at Columbia University, I am a female artist, and 2 very friendly cats live here as well.
We all share the kitchen and bathroom and keep the common spaces clean. We are social but also respect each other's personal space.
