I’m a former art and design teacher from the Bay Area.
My time in México has been over 30 years. After visiting Pátzcuaro , Michoacán in the early 1990’s, I was enchanted by
the incredible hand carved furniture and the many iron and copper artisans around Patzcuaro. I began exporting to the U.S.and living in México.
In about 2001 I moved to a sleepy beach village in Nayarit.
My exporting continued and as the town was just beginning to grow, it seemed a good time to buy property and build a small guest house.
I was able to market my products in México as Sayulita began to grow and many new homes were being built.
In about 2011, developers arrived in Sayulita, the town changed , lost its village appeal and it was time to leave.
San Miguel was a place I visited often. It’s a beautiful small city full of artists and incredible architecture. Easy living here. My home here is just perfect, close to town and it’s been a very fun place to remodel and decorate.. my passion!
