The Swiss Chalet is a historic home featuring original architecture and design: hardwood floors, vintage Mexican tiles, 15-ft ceilings with 200-year-old exposed beams, custom-made rosewood furniture, stained-glass windows, and antique Dutch doors. The Chalet also features lush gardens, a pool, and a hot tub on the private upper terrace. Enjoy the view of the mountains, bask in the sun by the pool, take in the sunset over a glass of wine from the veranda, and stargaze from the hot tub nestled between majestic pines and picturesque Californian oaks.

My partner Domenico and I bought this very special home in 2017. We occasionally rent the main floor of the house when we travel.

You would have the entire main floor of the house and the balcony, pool, hot tub, gardens, etc., all for your private and exclusive use and enjoyment. There are no shared spaces and no one else would be on the property during your stay.

The main floor of the house includes one bedroom, one bathroom, a vanity room, living room, dining room, kitchen, and projector room. The outdoor space is quite extensive and features a wraparound balcony and a spacious pool and hot tub terrace set amidst a lush garden.
The projector room is typically set up with a sectional sofa but can also double as a second bedroom with a queen-size futon made up with a premium memory foam mattress. So the space can accommodate up to four people.

The chalet is nestled in one of LA's best-preserved historic neighborhoods. Located between the city and the mountains, it is positioned at a convenient distance from all of the natural, urban, artistic and cultural points of interest that Los Angeles, Hollywood, and Pasadena have to offer. The bucolic neighborhood of Verdugo Woodlands features lovely tree-lined streets shaded by mature oaks and pines, secluded parks, and tranquil solitude amidst charming character homes.

The total rate also includes:
-weekly gardening service
-weekly pool/hot tub service
-1 housekeeping service
-all utilities

*Rental dates are potentially somewhat flexible

Our home is designated as a historic resource on the Glendale Historic Register and is filled with custom and vintage furniture, so we're looking for renters who will care for it as lovingly as we do. :)
