Hello community. We are looking to sublet our Bed-Stuy duplex apartment starting on August 1st, 2025, ideally for a one-year lease, although we will consider shorter-term stays. The price is a firm $4300/month + utilities.

This apartment is a rare find - 1200 sq ft, two floors, sunlit (including a skylight), a balcony on the first floor, and private terrace on the second floor. It has a washer/dryer, dishwasher, three mini-split AC/heating units (one in each room), and high-speed FIOS wifi (we will leave our wifi routers, which enable the best performance throughout the apartment, but the tenant will be responsible for paying the internet provider).

The downstairs features a large kitchen with plenty of storage, a dining/living room, a bathroom with a tub, and a bedroom with a king-sized bed. Upstairs is a large, open studio, which can be a bedroom, living room, rec room, yoga/meditation space, music studio, etc.

There is a large closet in the bedroom and one in the living room, both of which we customized through California Closets to maximize storage. Additionally, there is storage under the stairs. Upstairs is a water heater closet with extra storage space.

The G train is at the corner, so transportation to/from the city is very convenient.

We plan to leave the following items to allow a tenant to move in quickly and have all of the basic necessities:

• couch and coffee table in the living room
• wall-mounted desk in the living room
• king-sized bed and dresser in the primary bedroom
• full-length mirror behind primary bedroom door
• some pots, pans, cutlery in the kitchen
• desk in the 2nd story of the duplex
• outdoor furniture on the terrace

The piano will also stay in the apartment for now, as it belongs to a friend who needs time to arrange for the piano’s removal. If you are not a piano player we will ask that you not touch the piano. If you are a piano player and are interested in having the piano throughout your lease, we can discuss this.
