Background
‘The feels’ has been in operation since 2022; we seek to establish City Leads in all markets except NYC.
City Leads that will sit atop ‘the feels’ in their city, responsible for the smooth production + execution.
In addition, City Leads will define ‘the feels’ presence in their city; this may include Q&As, live event-based partnerships with like-minded orgs, informal meet ups, and more.
City Leads will function not only as representatives, but as entrepreneurs - identifying what the feels community in their city needs, and delivering it.
In LA, our community is already hundreds strong; we’ve hosted on the E and W side, and we’re now looking to expand what we offer from 1x/month - to 2 - 3x/month. We’re also looking to permanently bring a Q&A series, and build deep partnerships.
Duties
Strategy + Design
Identify the needs of the community and create a strategy for bringing CBR vision to life based on needs + geographic context;
Design experiences that meet the community’s needs;
Work with our W Coast Facilitator to help design + strategize on event offerings.
Partnerships
Create local partnerships with values aligned orgs;
Manage relationships, ensure partners feel valued and appreciated;
Manage + maintain info management systems designed to track engagement.
HR + Admin
Onboard to our Event Management System + utilize the system;
Manage the Event Manager;
Manage the Producers, as necessary;
Participate in weekly calls w the HQ team;
Work with the HQ team to finalize event slate for the upcoming quarter and then ensure each event is staff’d;
As needed, work with City Manager to hire + screen producers;
Work w HQ to ensure local team feels connected + appreciated.
Sales
Work with HQ Team to ensure ‘feels’ events in your market sell out;
As needed, participate in outreach + engagement at the request of the HQ team;
Remain in close contact with the HQ team in the days leading up to every ‘feels’ to ensure ticket sales on track.
Production
As much as schedule allows, attend every event (expect to be on site from 5-11pm);
Ensure pack down on every space is complete to standard, ensuring that space is left at Position 1 according to instructions provided by the venue.
Ongoing
As needed, work with leadership to ensure beverage inventory is maintained;
As needed, manage relationships with venues, suppliers, storage facilities, etc;
Update and sync information in the Event Management System to ensure its updated.
KPI’s
New versions of ‘the feels’ enter your markets (ie queer, ENM) within 3 months + sell to 70% capacity or higher;
Q&As launch within 3 months;
1 partner event launches within 3 months;
Ticket sales improve via local partnerships
Brand sponsors brought in.
Hours + Compensation
In the first 6 months:
$30 per hourly
Anticipated hours:
5-10 per week
We ask that you track your hours via our time tracking software + submit invoices on a monthly basis.

Our flagship offering, ‘The feels’, is an IRL singles event that seeks to create an immersive environment for ppl to connect in depth.
At present, we have installments in NYC, LA, SF + DC, with MIA coming in Feb ‘25.
At an inflection point, ‘the feels’ seeks to substantially grow the number of events, and the number of people reached, in the coming months and years.
To that end, we’re seeking to hire a LA City Lead, who will work closely with city-specific producers, to organize and guide each event smoothly from start to finish.
