Part Time
New York City
Chelsea / Bryant Park, New York
Hourly wage $25/ hour

I'm looking for a part-time person to work for the holiday season at my retail locations. This schedule would run from October 25 - Jan 5. In general, the slots I'm looking to fill are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 11-8.

I have a permanent space at Artists & Fleas (an indoor market inside Chelsea Market), and a holiday booth at the Bryant Park Winter Market (a 10x10 corner booth on the east side of the park).

My products are silly and sarcastic, so I'm looking for someone who can match the vibe of my customers / art and be energetic, engaging and calm under pressure when it gets busy. Because of the relatively low price point, I am a volume seller and it's important to ring people up quickly...while still being friendly :)

Customer service and sales experience is required, along with a strong, reliable and responsible work ethic.

The schedule would be:
Monday 10:30-8 (Bryant Park)
Wednesday 11-7 (Artists & Fleas)
Friday 11-7 (Artists & Fleas)
As a team, we do accommodate each other with scheduling the best we can and I like to create the schedule early so you can count on it but flexibility and the ability to fill in for others is always appreciated!

The job would entail:
* Putting away any restock items in the morning
* Cleaning and straightening the booth in the morning
* Ringing up sales using a Square POS system
* Restocking the booth throughout the day
* Closing out the booth at the end of the day

Rate: $25/hour

This schedule will run from October 26 - January 5.

About Us

I'm an artist with a permanent space at Artists & Fleas in Chelsea Market and a holiday booth at the Bryant Park Winter Market. I sell products with my illustrations on them. My company is called Lemon Zesty and my motto is "fresh art with a sour twist."

Prior to becoming an artist, I was a camerawoman and producer for the Discovery Channel for almost 20 years. I suffered a serious accident on location in the Amazon, and spent several years recovering from my injuries. During that time, I started drawing and painting and I fell in love with it. I decided to create this business as an homage to second chances.

I print my designs by hand on a variety of unique products including small batch candles with bright, modern scents, archival prints and mugs of all sizes.

My goal as an artist is to chronicle the absurdity and weirdness of everyday life, as messy, awesome and perplexing as it is. I often feature small, plucky animals making their way in a chaotic world. It's a little sarcastic, a little snarky, and hopefully relatable.
