Hi Listings Project friends. My April renter decided she was looking for a rental as opposed to a sublet, so my apartment is now available again. However, I will now be requiring referrals and will have stricter guidelines to avoid future mishaps. I've included them at the bottom of this post.
I had an overwhelming amount of inquiries for the spring and summer, so if you're seeing this listing and emailed me previously, please reach out again.
Gorgeous, fully furnished 2 bedroom in West Chelsea only a couple blocks from the Highline! Nearly 1000 sq feet with incredible space, natural light, working fireplace and garden with exclusive access to residents.
This apartment is truly a haven - natural light floods every room from gorgeous windows, there is a working black brick fireplace, marble floors and countertops in the well updated kitchen, gorgeous carpeting, fine art with character and history, unique furnishings and architectural elements, and plenty of space. Each bedrooms has a queen sized beds with tons of closet and drawer space.
Lovely historic building which has been completely renovated and has a private garden spanning the entire side of the building, a landscaped roof deck, and peaceful energy. Absolutely no traffic or city noise.
The apartment is directly across from the General Theological Seminary (whose grounds are open to the public), which means that we are insulated from city noise and foot traffic. The area is extremely peaceful, yet conveniently located minutes from the subway, wonderful restaurants and bars, Chelsea Market, The Whitney Museum, and The Highline. For those who love to stay active, Chelsea Piers (golf, skating, incredible fitness facility), The Hudson River Parkway, Equinox, NYSC, Crunch, and Soulcycle are all nearby.

Okay, so here are some clarifications:
- This is a furnished sublet.
- This is my home. I am bicoastal and spend lengthy periods of time working on the west coast. I try to be home in NYC 2 - 3 times per year.
- I am not open to year or more long leases, unless you are okay with me spending a couple weeks in the apartment during the summer and holidays.
- You are renting as is. That means I will not be purchasing new furniture or updating the apartment for you because you prefer a different color couch, specific curtains, wall paint color, etc.
- This is not a vacation rental or a hotel. There is no concierge service and my things will remain stored in a locked closet that is off limits.
- I recovered the couch last month. It's now green velvet.
- If you cannot change a lightbulb or turn on the AC by yourself, this is not a good match for you.
Bicoastal artist. This has been my family's apartment for 18 years and it's my favorite place on earth. I'm very easy going and looking for someone who is the same. As long as you love this apartment as much as I do and do not abuse the space or my kindness, we'll get along perfectly.
Basic sublet agreement
Pets welcome as long as they are not destructive or loud barkers
