This house is a comfortable 3 bedroom, 2 bath space located in the Elkin Hills neighborhood of Chapel Hill.

The main bedroom has a king size bed, walk-in closet, dresser, TV and record player. There is an in-suite bathroom featuring a walk-in shower, granite countertops and bidet. The skylight provides great natural light in the morning and there is a door providing access to the deck.

There are two smaller bedrooms off the main hallway. One is furnished with a queen bed, two night stands and a sizable closet. The second bedroom currently has a library/sitting room vibe with a wingback chair. A desk can be provided if you'd like to use this as an office. Space wise, there is room for a queen bed (not provided) if the desire is for this room to function as a third bedroom.

The living room has lots of natural light, built-in wormy maple shelving, a TV, sofa and two recliners. The dining room has a table that seats up to six people and the kitchen is functional and spacious with an electric oven, microwave and toaster oven.

I love all of these spaces but my favorite is the the deck. Two rocking chairs sit on the covered side porch which wraps around to two separate sitting areas on the back deck. There is also a grill pad that has a Weber gas grill, Blackstone griddle and Weber charcoal grill.

Although the house is one level, there are a few steps to enter the home.

This is a furnished rental and all utilities are included (water, gas, electric, AT&T wi-fi, quarterly pest control and lawn care every two weeks during summer months).

There is space in the driveway for two cars. Location wise, it's an easy drive to UNC's campus, Franklin Street and Carrboro (Cat's Cradle! Weaver Street Market!) and the A busline is a short walk. The neighborhood is filled with trees and older homes and is a wonderful spot to take a leisurely walk.

There is a separate two story garage/shop in the back of the property that is currently being used for owner storage. It does have a mini-split, is wired/insulated and could be setup as a separate studio space, if of interest (would require an additional monthly fee). During the lease owner might occasionally need access to this space, which would be requested with notice.

I'm a music manager and have lived in this house for over seven years. It's been an incredible sanctuary during that time.

Over the last year+ I've experienced some recent life changes (aging parents and divorce ... all the makings of a mid-life crisis) so I'm looking to spend the year closer to family, working remotely around the country and traveling more extensively with my artists on tour.

Rental requirements

One month security deposit upon signing the lease.

If renting for three months or more, the first month's rent is also due upon signing lease. References appreciated and priority will be given to longer leases.

Small pets require a separate, non-refundable one-time pet fee of $250.

I am open to the idea of a house swap situation as well.

Pets Policy

Open to pets (small dogs, cats, etc.) but there is a $250 non-refundable one-time pet fee for each animal.

The front yard does have a fence, although my older dog could find his way out through some loose boards, so would recommend that pets are supervised or on-leash when out of the home.

The deck is fenced in and my pup loved sunbathing out back!
