About the apartment:
This is a bright and welcoming 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom apartment. It is on the top floor of a small walk-up building (two flights). The common space has a skylight that keeps the apartment bright all day, so there’s hardly a need to turn on the overhead lights. While the layout is cozy, super tall ceilings in all rooms help provide spaciousness. Plants tend to be very happy here, and more are welcome! There is also central heat/AC.

About the room:
The bedroom has two windows, a tall closet, and cubbies above the door that provide a generous amount of storage. Currently there is a queen sized bed frame and mattress, along with a dresser and a ladder shelf. If you swapped the bed for a full size bed, that would open up a bit more space. The bedroom can also come unfurnished depending on your needs.

About the area:
The apartment is just south of the Central M station (5 minute walk). The J train is a 10 minute walk, and the L a 12 minute walk. Also, it is sandwiched between several bus lines (B54, B38, B46 among others). There are two grocery stores within 2 blocks, laundry is 2 blocks away, with plenty of cafes, restaurants, and late-night options around. Maria Hernandez park is a pleasant 10 minute walk.

About This Lister

Hi, I’m Nathaniel - a creative professional in my late 20s, he/him. I WFH full time for an insurance business, and also teach a handful of Zoom piano lessons from my bedroom. Both jobs are west coast based, so my daily schedule reflects that (late to bed/late to rise). I cook daily, and due to my work schedule, use the kitchen late for dinners. While I enjoy having a relationship and being friendly with roommates, I also use my time at home to recharge and nurture myself. I love quiet, gentle mornings, and usually keep to myself for the first few hours of my day. The apartment is a calm, grounding environment, and it’s important to me to uphold that. I am spiritual, and am involved in the 12-step community.

I keep the apartment very tidy, and enjoy having that be a collaborative effort. There is a cleaning schedule to help support those goals.

I’m a musician, so there will be music around the apartment. These days, I am mostly enjoying listening to music on our nice speakers and record player, and playing folk songs on guitar. I do enjoy going out for live music/dancing often, but the party doesn’t come home. I am active (biking/climbing/surfing) and a nature lover.

I’m looking for someone who is clean, communicative, collaborative, and willing to share a cared-for and lived-in home. Looking forward to hearing from you :)
