About This Lister

Chris and Doug are Co-Founders of Urban Yard Studios and met in 2004 as fellow renters at the 5 POINTZ Building in LIC that was across from PS 1 / MOMA.

Since the mass eviction of all occupants from 5 POINTZ in 2008 we set out to create a safer and more supportive studio model.

Chris Anigacz has two kids and is a professional restorer of fine furniture.

Doug Holt also has two kids and is a commercial still life and fashion photographer.

We manage and run three independent Long Island City Artist Studios:

Footbridge Studios est. 2017

Urban Yard Studios est. 2024

All our studios are flooded with natural light, brand new, industrial and versatile.
