PLEASE NOTE: PET CARE REQUIRED FOR THIS SWAP
Every room in my apartment - and its balcony - have a view of the river from the 14th floor. The apartment has one bedroom with a queen-sized bed, and one bathroom. It is quiet, comfortable and sunny. The kitchen is spacious, fully equipped, and the apartment has wifi, and plenty of space. Cooks *love* my kitchen. The apartment has a friendly and quiet cat who does not get on the kitchen counters and will not sleep on your clothes. (No guarantees, but allergic friends have no trouble with her.) The building is well-maintained.
The neighborhood is residential and walkable. In the lower east side, the apartment is walking distance from a subway, and you can take a bus - or even a ferry! - from right downstairs to get around. There are easily accessible groceries, coffee, restaurants, bars and culture. Also lots of nearby cafes with wifi if you want to get out of the house to work as well.
I have plants to water and the cat, Ghost, to feed. Guests find my home very comfortable for lounging, working, or as a stopping point amid touristing.
I have done about 50 swaps over the past 10+ years through a membership website. I am eager to host and swap with single people or couples, and my home is neither childproof nor suitable for children. I'm a born and raised New Yorker, so have lots of helpful instructions and recommendations about the city that I can provide in advance and in the apartment.
I work in the nonprofit industry as a consultant, so I am flexible with my time and work site. I typically work while I am traveling. I'm a middle aged, low impact guest, and as an experienced swapper I take excellent care of the homes where I stay. (I could probably offer a reference for me as a guest and a host.)
I am looking for a *central Paris* exchange with 1-2 bedrooms, near a metro ideally for the 3 weeks indicated but potentially for 2 weeks leading up to June 1st. I often travel with a friend or my boyfriend, in which case we both need some space to work. I would be thrilled to care for a cat if you have one.
