Job overview: We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Operations Manager to join our growing team. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role that reports directly to the co-founders and collaborates closely with teams across buying, marketing, customer experience, and finance. You should be equally comfortable in setting strategic direction and in rolling up your sleeves to solve operational issues in real time. Your leadership will be instrumental in scaling our business and maintaining operational excellence as we grow.

As the Operations Manager, you will be the key driver behind the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of our operational infrastructure — with a primary focus on eCommerce operations, while also overseeing the needs of our Brooklyn-based retail store.You’ll be responsible for managing product flow from supplier to customer, ensuring that orders are fulfilled accurately and on time, inventory is well-maintained and synchronized across platforms, and all systems are optimized for growth. Whether it’s improving our internal workflows, working closely with our 3PL, streamlining product deliveries and launches, or coordinating with the store team, you’ll have a hand in every major operational touchpoint of the business.

Location and timing: The role is full time in New York

Key Responsibilities

Cross-Functional Internal Operations Leadership
- Act as the operational glue between buying, marketing, fulfillment, and retail teams, ensuring alignment across timelines, inventory readiness, and launch planning.
- Facilitate communication between departments to ensure clarity on product availability, shipping schedules, and launch planning.
- Analyze existing operations and identify opportunities to improve communication, workflow, efficiency, reduce costs, and scale processes.
- Lead implementation or integration of operational tools (ERP, WMS, inventory software, etc.)

Operational Systems & Process Development
- Develop and maintain operational processes that support efficient workflows between the buying, 3PL, retail, and marketing teams.
- Ensure systems (Shopify, inventory management, shipping platforms) are optimized for scale, visibility, and accuracy.
- Collaborate with the buying team to track product data, purchase orders, and shipping timelines across systems.
- Work with fulfillment teams to document and refine SOPs, ensuring consistent handling of product from inbound to delivery.

Vendor Coordination and Execution & Supply Chain Management
- Serve as the main point of contact for operational coordination with third-party vendors and logistics partners, ensuring service levels, timelines, and expectations are met.
- Ensure accountability to agreed-upon processes and timelines
- Maintain accurate inventory records and syncs across eCommerce platform, retail POS, and warehouse systems.
- Identify and implement tools or systems to streamline inventory management and reporting.

Importing & Financial Efficiency
- Identify opportunities to improve the cost-effectiveness and efficiency of importing products from overseas.
- Monitor freight, duties, and logistics expenses, recommending cost-saving initiatives that do not compromise quality or timing.
- Stay updated on international shipping trends, trade regulations, and potential disruptions affecting the supply chain.

Minimum Requirements
- 5-year experience in operations in a high-growth company preferably in a DTC/eCommerce or consumer products environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Strong understanding of eCommerce platforms (Shopify), shipping tools, and 3PL operations.
- Experience with inventory management and order fulfillment systems.
- Ability to analyze data, spot inefficiencies, and implement practical solutions.
- Strong organizational and project management skills; comfortable wearing multiple hats in a lean team.
- Excellent communication, multitasking and collaboration skills.
- Experience supporting physical retail operations, even at a small scale.
- Skilled in Shopify, Excel, Google suite
- A growth mindset: the desire to learn, grow, and embrace new ideas
- Must be US Citizen or green card holder
- Must be 18 years of age or older

- Background in tableware, home goods, or lifestyle retail
- Experience with ERP system implementation or system migrations
- Familiarity with sustainable packaging or supply chain practices
Experience launching or scaling omnichannel fulfillment
