The loft is a large (1750sf) 3-level, 2-bath, architect designed live-work space with high ceilings, many skylights, a garden, and a 2nd floor deck. This is an urban space in a 4 unit friendly condo complex on a quiet, neighbourly block in West Oakland, 2 blocks from the best BART station for easy commutes to San Francisco and around the Bay Area.
The interior space has 2 sets of stairs. One has a stair-lift if you need it. There is off-street parking available, all appliances, washer-dryer, and wi-fi.
The pets are one small dog (dachshund mix) and one cat. Pet care Involves morning & evening feeding, 1 daily short walk for the dog, and occasional longer walks on leash. There is a dog park 1/2 block away. The cat is exclusively an indoor cat. There are a few indoor houseplants to water. Outdoor plants are on a watering system.
The cat must not be let outside. The dog needs to visit the backyard every 3-5 hours and needs a short walk around the neighborhood daily, and a longer walk 1-2 times per week. She loves to run and chase balls, indoors and out.
This is a quiet artist condo complex: no parties or loud late night noise, please.
We are two older women artists (70s) (she/they). One is a curator at a San Francisco museum and a woodworker/artist; the other is a film-maker, writer, and retired university instructor. The space has a very large library upstairs (with a rolling library ladder) and down, a sizeable art collection, and a wood-shop in progress (currently mostly a storage space). There is a home office that will not be available for use downstairs (we'll close it off for storage).
We are the owners.
