At Past Present Pix, we approach your treasured memories with the same care and reverence as a professional archivist. Our goal is to help you curate and preserve what matters most so that these memories can be enjoyed by generations to come.

We specialize in:

Digitizing and Preserving: We start by gathering, organizing and transferring your photos, negatives, old home movies, slides, memorabilia and documents into archival boxes and enclosures. This process reduces the physical space needed for your collection while ensuring the originals are safely stored. We use museum-grade scanning equipment, archival methods, and industry standards to preserve your memories today and for generations to come. We also organize existing digital photo libraries.

Triple-Redundancy Backup: Once media is digitized, we recommend the 3-2-1 Backup Method to protect your digital copies. This means having three copies: one on an external hard drive, one on your computer’s hard drive, and one in the cloud.

Creating and Sharing: Once your memories are digitized, organized and safely stored, the fun begins! We offer custom photo books (both physical and digital), family websites, legacy videos, and slideshows to celebrate and share with your loved ones.

How It Works:

Drop-Off or Pickup: You can either ship or drop off your materials at our home office, or we can arrange a pickup.

Personalized Quote: After reviewing your collection, we’ll provide a quote and a detailed photo plan.

Easy Payment: We ask for a 50% deposit to get started. We work hourly, but scanning prices are by the piece. A detailed price list is available by request.

Ongoing Updates: Enjoy weekly updates (with photos!) on our progress. The final payment is due upon project completion, with options for pickup or delivery.

I'm Marci Brennan, a long-time photo industry professional, along with my videographer husband / business partner Chris George. We've been making our own memories together for 35+ years — and we love helping others with their comprehensive photo management.

And since we're a family, we understand how to help yours rest assured that your valuable memories are always at your fingertips and, most importantly, safely backed up.

Background and Expertise

I've always wanted to archive and curate photos, so I’m lucky I’ve been doing that for a couple of decades. After years spent at renowned organizations like the Bettmann Archive (acquired by Corbis, the creative photo agency founded by Bill Gates), I had the privilege of working with a collection of 18 million+ images of vast cultural and historical significance. While there, I got to participate in the rise of photo digitization, making this rich visual legacy available for the world to see, share and enjoy.

But like many, I felt called to strike out on my own. Now I help busy families organize and preserve their image libraries. My clients often say they are thrilled to have found someone who actually specializes in photo management. I’ve been called the answer to their prayers and a lifesaver. Not only do I get to help clients save their cherished memories, I also create cohesive, thoughtfully curated media libraries - and more.
