The parlor-level apartment is opening up in our beautiful Pre-War Bedford-Stuyvesant brownstone - it can be yours! My wife and I own the brownstone. We moved to Bed-Stuy in 2006 and lived there happily for 7 years.
Perfect for a couple, this loft-like floor-through has 12-foot ceilings, hardwood floors, original details and stripped wood molding, along with huge antique pocket doors. The large, bright living area can be divided into bedroom/living room/office space (see photos), and the open plan kitchen overlooks the garden. The recently-renovated bathroom has a shower but no tub.
The apartment is unfurnished except for a chandelier :).
Electricity and cooking gas is included ($100+ value!)
Great location - (Marcy between Jefferson and Putnam) close to cafes and restaurants, weekend farmers market, parks, playground, and the Y (gym and pool!). All shopping (including a great supermarket) nearby on Fulton Street (5 minute walk). It is only five short blocks to the A/C train at Nostrand Avenue. 1 stop to Downtown Brooklyn, Fort Greene, 2 stops to Dumbo, 15 minutes to Manhattan.
Street parking is available.
One-year lease with extension possible. Available June 1.
This is a pet-free apartment (FIRM - please don't ask for an exception).
I'm Dave (he/him) an artist and educator working for Khan Academy for the last 9 years. My wife Ginevra and I lived in the brownstone for 7 years and raised our babies there, but we now live a couple of hours out of town. The building is very close to our hearts, and we're very intentional about renting the spaces to thoughtful, kind, supportive neighbors. We come into the city periodically to connect with friends and family. I'll be onsite to show the space.
Co-owner and landlord with my wife Ginevra
$1500 damage deposit and first month rent required on signing.
Landlord, employer references, income and/or savings documentation required.
Please contact Dave for further information at the email below or number below (text only) to make an appointment to come by and check it out on Friday 4/18 (8a-noon) or Saturday (9a-noon) - Thanks!
