Hi, I’m Emi, and I’m looking for a new roommate to share my Clinton Hill apartment. My dear friend and roommate of the last five years has moved to California for grad school, and her room will be available starting Nov 1st.
The room is spacious with a walk-in closet, high ceilings, and two big windows with great light. The windows look out over trees and our rooftop, giving it a sense of openness and peace — a rare find in the city. The current bedroom furnishings are available to buy if you would like any of them.
The rest of the apartment is fully furnished, recently updated, and gets great natural light. The building is quiet, set back from the street, and there’s only one other apartment on our floor with kind, respectful neighbors. This place has really felt like a sanctuary for us the last 4 years and I’d love to find someone who will appreciate its comforting presence as much as we have.
We’re conveniently located with a grocery store below us and several great neighborhood spots nearby — Otway, Sisters, The Good Batch, and more. It’s about a 20-minute walk to Fort Greene Park or Prospect Park. And the neighborhood itself is filled with big trees!
Household notes:
* I keep a chemical- and scent-free home (natural cleaning only, no perfume or scented candles).
* I cook and eat meat, so comfort with that is important.
* Looking for someone peaceful, kind, communicative, and responsible.
* No smoking, drugs, parties, pets. Looking for 1 roommate only.
Rent: $1750/month
- Utilities & WiFi: Split evenly
Other details:
* 1 flight walk-up
* Fully stocked kitchen (no dishwasher)
* Updated bathroom
* Thermostat-controlled heat
* Reliable WiFi + living room projector
If you’re interested, please reach out and share a bit about yourself, why you’re looking to move, and why you think you’d be a good fit. A quick FaceTime or Zoom chat will be the next step-in the process. Looking forward to connecting!
- Emi
A little about me: I’m in my mid-30s and work as a birth and postpartum practitioner and a nanny and currently completing a two-year program in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy. I value a home that feels calm, clean, and supportive to our growth — a place to truly rest and recharge. I enjoy cooking, meditating, dancing, spending time in nature, and connecting with friends. I am happy to socialize and share time together in the space and also have mutual respect for each other’s independence and needs. I really value maintaining a clean and clutter free space, open communication, and respect for each other’s schedule and space.
Landlord will have us sign an updated 1- year lease together. You will pay a $1250 deposit to him in addition to first month's rent.
