Looking for someone to take over my room in a beautiful top-floor brownstone apartment in Park Slope through 8/31 (with option to renew the rent-stabilized lease and stay long-term!).
The Space:
This is a truly special room with tons of character - beautifully preserved original details including high ceilings with decorative crown molding, a decorative fireplace, gorgeous herringbone hardwood floors, and bright double-hung windows that flood the space with natural light. The room is incredibly spacious with a huge walk-in closet (seriously, it's massive - see photos!) plus additional built-in storage. Comes with a brand new AC unit and custom blackout shades for perfect sleep. The apartment is a 3 bed/2 bath spread across the top two floors of a classic brownstone.
Can come furnished or unfurnished - your choice!
Your Roommates:
You'll be living with two professional women (lawyers in their mid-thirties) who keep a clean, respectful home. They're friendly, easygoing, and have great relationships with the neighbors in the building.
The Neighborhood:
Park Slope at its best! 3-minute walk to the B/Q at 7th Ave, 7-minute walk to the 2/3 at Bergen St. You're steps from amazing restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores, and CitiBike racks. Prospect Park is a pleasant 25-minute walk (or quick bike ride) away.
Rent: $2,550/month including utilities (some flexibility for the right person who can commit and move in by 3/1)
The opportunity: At least two roommates (likely all three) are moving out at lease end (8/31), so you'd have first dibs on taking over this rent-capped lease and filling the apartment with your own friends!
About your future roommates:
Alex and Helen are both lawyers in their mid-thirties. They're professional, respectful, and keep a clean, well-maintained home. They're friendly and social but also value their personal space and downtime. They have great relationships with neighbors in the building and enjoy the community vibe of the brownstone.
Who we're looking for:
Someone clean, responsible, and respectful who will fit well with Alex and Helen's lifestyle. Ideally someone in their late 20s to late 30s who is established professionally, pays rent on time, and values a calm, tidy living environment. Bonus if you love plants (as you can see from the photos!) and appreciate the charm of brownstone living.
Pronouns: She/her (but open to any gender)
Move-in timeline: Ideally March 1st, flexible for the right person.
Rental process: You'll meet with current roommates for approval. Sublease runs through 8/31/26. Standard documentation and references required.
Deposit: One month security deposit ($2,550)
Showing the space: I'll be conducting showings and coordinating with Alex and Helen. Rent paid directly to landlord/management.
Dogs and cats to be approved by roommates and landlords.
