My roommate is moving out on June 30th and I'll need someone to renew the lease with for this 2bed/2bath apartment. The room that he's leaving is across from its private bathroom and gets lots of light, has an AC and has a large closet. The living room is a bit sparse at the moment but I'm eager to decorate, I haven't yet as I wanted to see what my new roommate might bring.
I'm looking for someone who doesn't bring the party back home, is clean, mature and able to communicate. I do not need to be friends with my roommate but I would appreciate it if we were not total strangers to each other.
I care about keeping common spaces clean, by that I mean dry/wet Swiffering the floors once a week and cleaning up crumbs as they happen. Looking for someone on the same page.
The kitchen is small, there is no doubt about it, but I haven't found it to be more than a minor nuisance as I work from home and usually finish up in the kitchen by 5-6pm.
The apartment has in-building laundry, an elevator and an accessible rooftop. It's within a 30-second walk from the Roosevelt Ave station. We have a super and he's very quick to respond and helpful.
The rent does not include the utilities, which come to $100-150 per month.
Send me an email introducing yourself and I'll get back to you as soon as I can!
