Our casita is a stand-alone, private, 500 sq foot building located on our 5-acre microdairy in Northern New Mexico. The casita is fully furnished with a queen-sized bed, couch, full-size refrigerator, propane stove and ample work space that will allow writers to focus on their craft. The casita comes with high-speed internet and a landline as cell service can be spotty on our property. The casita also has a full shower and toilet with a brand new septic system (we are very proud of this). The casita is equipped with a cozy wood burning stove for chilly, mountain nights - all wood is provided. Guests need to feel comfortable making a fire in a wood stove to enjoy this cabin in the wintertime. (We will teach you how, if you are not familiar with making a fire!)

The casita is on the ground level with no steps required to get into the space. There are, however, three steps required to get to up into the queen-sized bed. Parking is offered on the property and there are accessible hiking trails right behind the casita. (Our property backs up to BLM land)

This is the perfect space for folks looking to retreat, get away from busy urban life and rid themselves of distractions. Our property is quiet, serene and perfect for writers looking to give themselves the space to write, uninterrupted.

The community we live in is full of artists, weavers, farmers and folks who live outside of the box. There are local wineries very close by as well as a small, local food coop that offers many organic options. The property is located 1 hour north of Santa Fe, New Mexico and one hour south of Taos, New Mexico, allowing generous access to both communities.

For folks interested, we do offer organic dairy products directly from our farm. We have four dairy cows, chickens and barn cats on our property and encourage guests to take advantage of the amazing food options we provide.

About This Lister

Our property is designed in the style of an artist’s compound. My wife and I live in two of the buildings, while the casita is a third, separate structure that offers privacy and its own unique space within the property.

We have renovated and redone ever square inch of our property and are very proud to now share it with you! We both spend much of our time farming and writing. My wife, Heathar, is also a chef and together, we curate seasonal, farm-to-table dinners for our community to gather and tell stories.

We're seeking quiet, creative individuals to join us in this peaceful setting—people who value a retreat-like atmosphere and the joy of dedicating time to artistic creation and mindful living.
