We own a large two family house on a residential street with spacious 3 bedroom furnished upstairs apt. Small furnished front room available with single bed (storage underneath), small dresser, closet, bookcase, desk (can adjust furnishings for your needs). Also includes your own private access to adjoining balcony porch with bistro table and plants.

Fully-equipped kitchen—dishwasher and everything you need to cook plus dishes, glassware, utensils.
Shared bathroom (extra large tub), living room, dining room, sunroom withhardwood floors/high ceilings/French doors…old fashioned, artful, and eclectic from our travels… lots of windows, plants, & light. Laundry room in basement with small 1/2 bath.

Also have a small garden and gathering/ barbecue area behind house backing right up to Park.

Located right on renovated Highland Park/ Ridgewood Reservoir—huge green space, reservoir with ducks, swans, newly re-paved walking/biking/running paths, stone bridge, frisbee golf course, tennis, ball fields, etc! Just beyond Bushwick close to Ridgewood off Jackie Robinson Parkway on 1 block long tree-lined Bulwer Place. 

10-15 min walk to A,C, L, J, Z, M trains Broadway Junction, Liberty Ave C , Van Siclen J, Z Bushwick/ Aberdeen L and LIRR—street parking great if you own a car (at times off street behind house)—bike storage in garage.

Looking for respectful, creative individual of any age who would enjoy sharing our home, living in a real house, the surrounding park/nature, and won’t bring the party home.

Also have a 300 sq ft 1st floor art studio with built in work surfaces/ storage cabinets and a separate garage workshop that may have some shared space for rent.r. Ask if interested.

About This Lister

We are newly newly retired/young at heart and have worked therapeutically using creative arts, music, yoga, nature, and spirituality in healthcare and community settings. Guitar player and writer of poetry.

We are now transitioning to spend most of our time in our country house in PA.. Away about 3/4 time.

We also have a another wonderful Listings roommate in her early 30’s who has great energy and loves exploring the city and biking the area .

Our son and his fiancé  (in mid 30’s) live and work in the downstairs apartment and are artists/designers.

We’ve rented to quite a few artists/creatives/students/teachers over the years through Listings, and enjoy sharing our home and supporting those transitioning to NYC, here short term, or looking for a change from city streets. We are friendly and engaging, but also offer quiet, privacy and your own space, and we are away a lot.

We also have a large fluffy cat named Magic who usually comes with us to PA when we go.
