I'm looking for someone part-time to help me build a platform for my forthcoming memoir. I have reams of content, but I'm a technical Luddite. I'm seeking a tech wizard who understands how to use social media (Substack, Insta, Tik Tok, Facebook) to build authentic presence, connection, and a community of followers.
The work will be part-time; I imagine 3 - 4 hours a day with me at my office on the Upper West Side to set everything up and walk me through the steps so I can do the work myself. If we are a creative match, I would extend the period of employment to help me format content, as well as amplify it across all platforms. This second phase could be done remotely.
The key qualification for the job is facility with using social media to create a brand and platform. You'd be working directly with me, no middleman and no one else to report to.
I can be quite flexible about the times we meet so long as you are responsible and stick to a schedule once we make one,
An interest in, and understanding of, film, television and publishing would be a tremendous asset, as would knowledge of feminism and feminist history. If you've had experience creating content and have a camera, lights, or other equipment, that would be a dream come true.
I will pay at least minimum wage per hour ($16.50) but can go higher for the right candidate who has special skills. Starting immediately.
